Anson Action!

Avro Anson Mk I, MH120, ZK-RRA carried out two successful post restoration flights from Nelson Airport, New Zealand on 18th July. Bill and Robyn Reid had purchased this much modified ex RAAF machine from Drage's Air World, Wangaratta, Australia upon the closure and sale of the collection. Bill thereafter moved the Anson to his Wakefield hangar and set about returning the aircraft to original and fully equipped Mk.1 configuration, a task which has taken some ten years. Finished in a 206 Squadron Coastal Command scheme, with a Kiwi connection, a major feature on this magnificent restoration will appear in Issue 86.
